May your eyes perceive what's right

and move in deed and help beside

To give it all … with all your might

so you may be where God resides

 

And may you understand in depth

the secrets that in love are kept

for them that gave all  they had

while others selfish became inept

 

It is not what you know right now

but what you do to help somehow

and stead fast keep your hand to plow

the field and sow the seed of "good"

 

For when the field in abundance gives

and people eat the fruits to live

and turn to their Maker, Who forgives,

in thankfulness mention your name

 

Then the Lord turns to who lived the "good"

and smiles at you … for you understood

that purpose when at the Cross you stood

He saved you to do good works

 

So every time you lent a helping hand

It's like helping Jesus  Who is your friend

Who lives in the poor and needy without end

for so are the ways of God
