Heaven's Touch

Mon, 09/28/2015 - 22:31 -- Kae.D
So long has happiness has cursed my eye; watching couples and families happily go by.
I envy their smiles and their radiant glow; that joy and elation I can never know.
I stay awake at night with no choice but to cry; I fear that I shall be alone when I die.
The pain of my past and the torture of my peers; beaten on broken with a torrent of tears.
I am an outcast that is haunted by the scars of the mind; deemed unworthy of fitting in with human-kind.
I don't have a lot and I don't ask for much; I simply ask to be able to bask in Heaven's touch.
