In heaven waiting

I’m constantly reminded of you when I look at my daughters face,

I picture you in heaven, a different world, a better place,

Your personality is reborn through the innocence of my children,

They have them ambitious, fearless attributes that was always willing,

I compare you and my daughter often and sometimes it’s chilling,

I know your with us mom, I know that you are here, I know that’s why your grandchildren do not have no fear,

I know that you intervened and save my son’s life, I felt your presence in that room on that hot summer night,

Sometimes I get angry and proclaim that I do not have faith,

On the stairway to heaven I know you’ll be waiting at that gate,

I’ll enjoy the rest of my life here on this earth, but I cannot lie, without you here, your little boy still hurts....
