The Heart's Garden
Alice’s army,
Topsy-turvy,
Too pretty to fight.
Their skirts flow in the air
and swords impale the ground;
Battle-torn scraps float on the breeze,
and sweet blood bubbles into berries decorating their legs.
Paint brushes need not cover their white blossoms
for the Scarlet Queen’s wine permeates their skin.
