Hear our crys

Thu, 10/21/2021 - 01:56 -- Ben B

We all feel the same pain and go through different endings, yes our generational demon ‘’depression’’ sneaks up like a friend uninvited to a party
Depression is not a "choice"
No one "chooses" to have depression.
As soon as parents understand that, the world would be a better place with no youths being forced to do things because mom or dad says so! Or being pressed to do something or ELSE YOUR CULTURE OR RELIGION WON’T ACCEPT YOU!!
Some of us can't speak out about the demons we face because our parents will not understand, instead they'll think we're trying to get unnecessary attention and so forth... The pain of having to bottle up is unbearable. The stats of young people committing suicide keep on increasing on a daily basis because of the above mentioned issue... Kumele size senzekanjani for black parents to realize that depression is real?
We the youth are confused because of the western culture and our African culture. That's why we look happy on the outside but deep down lost for eternity.
