Hear the Melody

Stressed and anxious, unable to sleep

Tensing at the slightest sound,

I don my headphones once again

And enter a world so profound.

Eyes are useless, only darkness to see.

The pulses and beats always coursing around.

The mind reacts swiftly, to the wondrous noise

And fashions together a world made of sound.

Things move on their own, I have no control,

Converging and dancing in such harmony.

I simply lie back, and drift off in my world

Encapsulated as I hear the melody.
