Healthy Love

A healthy relationship is coming home from a hard day of work or school,

Grabbing your arm,

And diving onto the couch just so I can hold you,

Taking a moment to breathe while knowing you are right there for me,

And I’ll ask you how your day was,

I will tell you how much I missed you,

And you’ll laugh and kiss my head,

It was only half a day,

But it felt like eternity,

Yet it was worth it because I got to come home to you,

And the world feels so right,

You are the one part of my life that doesn’t feel forced,

The mountain which will still be standing when I peek out to check,

Always reminding me that you love me,

And I always reminding you of the same.
