Healing
Proverbs 4:20-22
New English Translation
20 My child, pay attention to my words;
listen attentively to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your sight,
guard them within your heart;
22 for they are life to those who find them
and healing to one’s entire body.
Healing
A cure through medicine rests on the natural
Healing by The Lord on the super-natural
So in using medicine does one trust in man
And in the second on faith as that’s more factual
But does not all the healing come from God
Doesn’t He decide who will have more days to live?
Isn’t there a time-line silently set for everyone?
For the taker and the giver in truth and in myth
If your hope is pinned on medicine alone
Instead of the power of God and medicine is all you trust
Struggling with your health, something appears so wrong
Disappointments will come, like confusing love with lust
Won’t God lead you to medicine through Christian Doctors?
Or even some of the ones who kill babies in the womb?
Are spices, herbs, and fruit so much different from medicine?
And is not dependency on these also very well understood?
Matthew 5:44-45 New English Translation
44 But I say to you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be like your Father in heaven, since he causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Is trusting than on medicine not truly depending also on God?
To thank God after being healed through all types of provisions
The things God provided long ago when He put things into motion
To work altogether for good for humanity and the Christians
If healing was the only objective or the purpose of sickness
Possibly the cure through medicine would make it all complete
But to await His way and time in quietness before the Lord
As then the Spirit of Healing is the Spirit of Holiness indeed
