He Never Meant To Love Her

He lies and lies,

He finds her there,

Waiting for love, but buried in despair,

His name repeats, It sounds so sweet,

But to her ears – it cuts too deep.

She gives him more,

He gives her less,

No balance in love, there's no success,

She keeps hoping, He keeps tearing

At her heart – there's no repairing.

He hears her cry,

Her heart still mourns,

It slice through, like a thousand thorns.

He never meant to hurt her so,

He never meant to love her, though.
