He loves me not

I ripped apart an entire flower
Define just one "love me"
"Love me nots"fell to the floor
With a bang from every petal
I hated defiling such wondrous splendor
But I had to hear the magic words
To feel like I was wanted
Though perhaps it sounds absurd
The Flower passed into the next
Definition of existence
The search for more was on its way
Through my diligent persistence
Thoughts gateway to action
As I left no stone unturned
In my existential search for passion
Many things I've not yet learned
Like how to soothe a broken heart
When you're the one who's smitten
When there's not a brand new love to caress
How do you come to find indifference
How do you tell your entire family
You won't be coming home
You're off to find out who you are
And you must do this on your own
How do you stop a child's tears
When you'll be gone for ten long years
It's no one's fault but your own
Do you beg for their forgiveness?
Where do you go to search for God
Does he live inside a holy book
Or is he in the very air we breathe
By his Mercy are we shook?
Is the short-lived life a test
To prepare us for the next
Where our selfless deeds are counted
Since God gave us our first breath
How many questions
Life perplexes
Searching fruitlessly
For perfection
I try not 2
Let It be vexing
But I need answers
As Im left here guessing
