Hate

There is poison in the air we breathe.

With every breath we take, we inhale

Lies and

Ignorance and

Intolerance.

With every breath we take we inhale the poison

That has plagued society from the beginning of life.

The poison that has haunted humanity

Since the first being strung together

Four letters that

Sounded like a word that

Sounded like

Hate.

Hate, because hate can black out

The brightest of lights,

And it will never matter, how bright

You shine because

Somewhere

Someone is

Whispering the word

Hate.

And it kills you inside.

And all of the sudden it’s like someone

Dumped a bucket of water on a tiny

Candle that was already struggling to burn

And it put the fire out.

We Hate, because we do not know how to function without it—how to survive without aiding the already harshly blowing wind that is forcing the candle to burn

Duller and

Duller, until

There is nothing but a tiny spark trying desperately to

Ignite itself again.

Trying hopelessly to start over.
