Happy Birthday

Today is your birthday,

I almost forgot.

Who would have thought,

Who would have dreamed that I wouldn't say

Happy birthday today.

Its your birthday today.

Your're 18 now.

I would tell you that your old,

Recount memories, have stories told,

from those nine years when I was the first one to say

Happy birthday, today.

I didn't tell you happy birthday today.

You probably don't care though.

You have your boyfriend,

You have your perfect looks,

You have a better friend,

I guess I'm off the hook.

I'm not happy today.

But maybe its not your fault but mine.

I guess you didn't care enough,

Nine years wasn't long enough for you

to care for me.

You didn't tell me happy birthday last year.

We were still friends then!

I stuck around through thick and thin,

You couldn't even give me the time.

I waited all day, I actually cried.

Maybe I overreacted, but maybe I was right.

You didn't care about me then, you don't care about me now.

Happy birthday Raych.

If you ever see this, Happy Birthday!

I miss you lots and lots.

I'm mad.

But hey this isn't about me.

I'll get over it, I have to, I must.

So one day I won't be embarrased,

that I still feel the same way I did at seventeen.

Happy Birthday,

I hope you have a good year.

Without me.
