Happiness, you told me was the best gift to give

Wed, 12/16/2015 - 22:20 -- jerlee

The wind blew as I glaze over my shoulder

Hair flew into the air covering your smile

Frozen in time, I reached over to uncover a beautiful smile

Only to find despair in your eye’s

My heart was crushed for I have made you scared

Happiness was the best gift, you told me

I look upon thee…

The wind blew me away to a narrow road

“Dead end,” it said

Your voice became quiet

Frozen in time, you reached out with despair in your eye’s

My heart was crushed for you let yourself give it to someone else

Happiness… I questioned?

Sorrow with tears and absence, if that what you called happiness

I took upon thee…

The wind blew closer as the star fell down the sky

Good night, with no response…

Good morning, with silence…

What’s good with words when there are no meaning

Frozen in time, I fast forward to only be ignore

My heart was crushed for I have taken the wrong path

Happiness, what good deed do I need?

I wrote thee…

The wind blew to sing a single verse

Verse of self lie

Linger within your heart, you didn’t want to give it away

You knew it would hurt and tore yourself apart

Frozen in time, memory goes through your mind

Only time will cure and I may have fallen

Fallen for such a verse also

Happiness, may one day it go through

Fate flow free within thee...
