The Hanging Tree

Misery loves company

So meet me by the hanging tree

Where my friends all are, and there they are

Hanging together beneath the stars.

When night falls, He appears

Feeding on our darkest fears.

He will set us free from off the tree

And we'll follow wherever he may lead.

So, don't be scared, and take my hand

And in me, you will find a friend.

You're all alone, nowhere to roam

So come with me to your new home.

And, if you're scared, just hold on tight

and follow us into the light

Where my friends all are, and there they are

Dancing together amongst the stars.
