Hands

Your hand holds mine so tightly I think you might crush it
But I know we both need it
Our hands are an anchor
To know we're both there
There for each other
There forever in each other's hearts

We know our time was special
Our bond like no other ever before
We'll part tomorrow
But for now our hands grasp each other so tightly I think they might burst

Our lives may end up bursting after tomorrow morning ends
No one knows what to expect
The last few weeks were magic
Off in the wilderness
Nowhere near civilization
Tomorrow night we'll be back in our beds
In houses with blood relatives
But our family scattered far and wide

Tomorrow we may just break down and cry
But tonight we have each other's hands
And we don't plan on letting go anytime soon
