Gunning For Your LIfe

Location

Heart is pounding,

eyes wide with fright,

A gun flashes in the night.

Running hard

no where to go,

Red blood in the snow.

Relentless hunters

seek their prey.

Who will live another day?

The race will end for

boy and doe.

Red blood in the snow.

Urban alley,

forest glen.

One will fall in the end.

Aching legs,

pounding head,

The doe escapes, the boy is dead.

289 Americans shot each day.

Old and young

fall to the gun.
