Growing the Garden
Blast! Blast heartbeat at the smallest gesture,
Quietest thought, quickest glance. All of the best for
Expansion in each’s willpower’s might.
In Eve’s diary written right,
Even unofficial and undivined
End ultimately, inseparably intertwined.
Making coffee, just the right strength, just the right time,
Only because, no reason, none needed.
There is a strange sense, logic, and rhyme.
Sow golden pips here, the garden seeded,
Then let it grow, through thaws and snows,
Thick, dense the plant climbs over the wall
And even as the tempest blows,
Still grows the garden best of all.
