Greenback Boundaries

Everyday I see them
Shuffling in their line
Eyes looking downward
Never meeting mine
The bargain struck between us
Yet we never spoke a word
Neither of us acknowledge
Just live within our worlds
Money runs most everything
This I believe is fact
It separates us into lines
And makes us turn our backs
I'd love to break this barrier
Rip down these greenback walls
Show the world that you and I
Aren't so different after all
But I'm a coward and you're resigned
To a fate we can't resist
Perhaps one day we'll break these walls
Make our own life precedent
