The Greatest of These...

A cord of three strands

Not easily broken

It graciously stands

As a sign, as a token

It maketh me wonder

To this strange arrest

Faith, Hope, or Love

Which of these is the best?

An answer now found

Though not what I seek

If Faith is the best

Why does mine seem so meek?

Hope then quite surely

Beyond any doubt

But without its small light

All other lights go out

Perhaps done with Love

Though folly it seems

Up to the brim,

Given now free

Bondless it binds

Until death does it find

Beyond even those borders

It offers much quarter

A comfort it is

And also a joy

Not to be stolen

Especially not spoil't

For that it would seem

Is love's fatal flaw

That it simply just doesn't

Have one at all
