Gratitude

I'm glad your here,

Living with me,

Glad we can chat,

Nonsensically.

Prior to this,

It was lonely and cold,

Prior to this,

I was getting fed up and old.

Now your here,

With me to stay,

We have laughs and share stories,

This is more than ok.

Crazy to think we tried before,

Intimacy and kisses,

Too young,

What a flaw.

Chasing something,

Called the grass is greener,

Stop, you fool.

This is the fresh pasture.

A generation later,

Online match,

Hey, how are you doing?

I can't believe youre still a catch.

Date and mate,

To try and re-create,

The passion we had,

To pro-create.

Dying inside,

A part of me,

Couldn't tell you at first,

Complete mystery.

Went away, a little dismay,

Lost a friend,

Company,

Same old trend.

An accident, a fire,

Together once more,

Not sure what to do,

Am I allowed to touch you?

Gone again,

That numbing feeling,

Lonely again,

My old friend.

Suddenly back again,

New house mate,

Uneasy at first,

This is alright.

Settled in,  friends again,

Laughs, chats and banter,

This is great,

Don't meander.

I think I want more than this,

I want you totally,

Be my girl, my love,

Eternally.

You do more for me,

More than I can say,

I'm falling in love with you baby,

No more play.
