Grateful for Fear

Trust and be assured

until your whole life reduces to nothing but

waking up morning after morning trembling with fear.

Unknowingly passing it from man to man

until every face is begging with unheard screams

and then squeezed with silence.

Hesitating...

Exasperating...

Waiting...

Scorning the grossness of fear.

I noticed i overcame the fear with gratitude.

I do not think i'm grateful for nothing at all

but what held itself most dear.

It's a mite...small.

The little, beautiful fear.
