Thank you for the memories

The nights of walking along the beach

The waves as they crashed at our feet

Thanks for the breeze blowing wind through our hair

The days we swam ocean without any care

Carried away by the current within

Feeling the sand as it grazes our skin

Thank you dear ocean for everything

The powerful winds and the waves that they bring

I hope to return here and visit someday

Let the current, the wind, and the waves wash away

I’ll always remember the sand in my toes

The tides as the ocean dwindles and grows

This moon as it shines a pale beam on our feet
