Goodbye

Location

Someone knows my secret,

Someone heard my plea

A plea I did not wish to ever be seen.

That night, that morning, I'll never forget

That night I slept with anger,

While the morning, I awakened to regret.

The day went on, the hours passed,

The night before was no longer in existence.

Swept away with the breathy cries that left my lungs,

The breath that spit venom in silence,

Were now shoved into one echoing reminder.

I went without a word spoken,

Went to school as a daughter.

Only to come home a few hours later,

To find that I had lost my mother.

In every moment, do not forget,

To not let your anger or fear

Keep you from saying goodbye.

Speak your mind? How about speak your soul.

A mind is just concious, not an overwhelming tole.

The soul speaks what the mind cannot,

Yet, I cannot seem to release what has burdened my own.

The mystery lyes, What becomes of this person?

The one who turned from a habit,

One that she will never forget.

Never again will she leave without a word,

To never live with a regret of not saying goodbye.

This is my apology letter to you.
