Good-bye Son

We knew you had a gentle soul,
We've heard them say a hundred times,
You wouldn't even raise your voice,
When wronged, abused or lied to,
Your love was real, that's for sure,
Your heart was good and kind and pure,
You're in a place within my heart,
You promised me we'd never part,
You left me though, my best friend's gone,
Good-bye my son, now I'm alone.

Me
My family
