Gone With The Wind
In the faded sky, heavy and gray
Early in the life of a new July day
A mother before her time had given birth
And a happy baby boy embraced the earth
Premature yet daring
The baby grew into a child
Held gently in the arms of his mother
And shown all the love in the world by his father
He knew not what pain was
And knew he had nothing to fear
He walked upright with utmost pride
Flower in his hand, parents at his side
But then, the wind blew his flower away
Then the wind blew his father’s eyes away
Then the wind blew his father’s heart away
Then the wind blew his father’s ring away
His heart cried mayday
Deep inside he felt life was no more a good day
What used to be a happy family
Soon to him became an unhappy history
His mother’s heart was gone
And soon after she was gone
The parents he once knew were gone
Just like his flower, gone with the wind
Yet, his life remained, not gone with the wind
With no flower, mother, father and love
He looked up to the heavens above
And found peace in the arms of the savior
For years he had learnt the hard way
For days, his smile failed to cover his dismay
He had lost count of sleepless night after night
And his dream life was deemed just another unreachable height
He put all his strength in the way of the book
His ride to success was the train he took
He decided the wind had pushed him enough
So he pushed back the wind
But then the wind blew him right back
And then the wind blew him his mother
Then the wind blew open the next page
A new chapter in life, a new age
That boy has finally grown into a man
Specifically the last gentleman
Now he knows no pain
Gone with the wind
