Gone Too Soon

Wed, 07/15/2015 - 14:00 -- kmb2018

It's Friday night, party at his house.

She waited till midnight, and snuck out quiet as a mouse.

She jumped in the car and dissappeared into the moonlight.

The biggest party of the year, and the amount of booze was out of sight.

She drank and partied until the crack of dawn,

The sun was coming up, she had to get home before her parents knew she was gone.

Drunk and staggering, unable to walk a straight line,

She romped the gas and for home she made a beeline.

She took the turn too fast; wrapping her car around a tree.

Graduation, Mirriage, Motherhood... it would never be.

At home, her parents awaiting, but she would never arrive.

All because she chose to drink and drive.
