Gone I Am

Location

Slipping.

Slowly slipping away.

The light is dimming,

My light radiates.

I see the storm coming,

And it's coming for me.

As I lay, still

The cold, hard ground embraces me

With warm welcoming arms.

Thump, thump, thump.

My heart leaping and thrusting out of my chest,

Surrounded by darkness.

Darker, my mind gets.

Faster, the come for me.

Paralyzed, my body begs and pleads to stay.

Gone, I am.

Slipping.

Slipping faster,

Giving into the darkness,

Letting the coldness take my soul.

Gone, I am.
