God's Got A Girlfriend // Part I

Location

ii
I cleaned up the
mess you made in the house
but I don’t know
about the wreck you
made of my bones,
my body, my soul,
and my hands.

ii
I’m so used to
keeping the hour
by the almost rhythmic
way you’d kiss me
throughout the day
and I’m not sure if I
can even read
Roman numerals
anymore.

iii
Today, the smell of
your laughter and
voice
finally faded from the
coffee mugs on the
kitchen table,
only slight lipstick
stains remain now,
but those can be
erased.
