Gobbledegook

Sat, 07/30/2016 - 17:13 -- EStar

Gobbledegook from my math teacher's lips,

An impending lab report due,

The headaches they come; I internally grieve

As my soul turns a sapphire blue.

An immense Spanish test, along with the rest

Of my dreadfully difficult load.

The work is quite dull, stress seeps from my scull

As I travel this burdensome road.

Yet I'm here on the dock, with my paddle in hand

During paddling practice today.

'Twas a workout well done, and the night hugs the world

In a lovely, peculiar way...

The moon like a pearl in a royal blue sea,

The city lights smiling above,

My team gathered 'round, and the bittersweet sound,

Of the train in the city I love.

During these times, you can find a true bliss

And the pressure of schoolwork will taper.

Yes there's more to this life! And more to your mind!

Than a simple black "A" on a paper.

This awareness brings peace, and peace will bring health,

And with health, the serenity grows.

Earth awaits at your door! And beyond? Perhaps more.

So calm down; you'll survive it, you know!
