Go To Sleep, Little Baby
People constantly desire
The never ending
Need for sleep
But as soon as they
Shut their eyes
And drift into the slumber
The dreams begin to
Haunt them terribly
Shaking them into fear
And as the dreams
Taunt them constantly
They wish,
Oh, how they wish
To open their
Weary eyes
Escape from the slumber
That leaves them
Wandering, restlessly like Cain
And to be awake
Once more, but
Their eyes are
Sown shut by the
Demons who lie awake
And seduce them to the sleep
This poem is about:
Our world
