A Glimpse of Hope

Location

With a smile on my face I walk into her room,

Although that soon changes as she gives me the look of doom.

Her despicable eyes look me up and down,

Soon my smile turns into a frown.

Later during the period I dare to ask a question,

“No talking!”, she replies, “Class is in cession!”

My motivation is soon stripped away,

Everything quickly turns to a dark cloud of grey.

I sit there and wonder, “Is there any hope?”

While my chances of succeeding fall down like a slope.

I just want a teacher who cares about her class,

One who truly ensures each of us will pass.

She’ll be sweet and kind, with a smile across her face,

Her actions will show her everlasting grace.

I stare up to the sky wondering where I’ll find her,

Suddenly everything changes, nothing is a blur.

The thought of this brings me such glee,

For I realized that teacher will someday be me.
