Glass Half Full

For lack of better words

You instill and distill my love

Like alcohol in a glass.

Bitter and dangerous,

But still on these streets.

You use me like a drunk

And I’ve got no choice.

Your demand is my command.

Am I weak?

But it’s all I’ve got left.

The power to follow

And the inability to lead.

Do I fear leading?

That’s why I allow you

To use me.
