Glass

You wanted me to give you the world,

I would if I could,

But what I saw in you was everything

So you left me....

Alone drifting forever lost.

I saw my universe in your eyes.

But I guess all you saw in me was

Worthlessness and fragility.

I am like glass

Able to break at any moment.

But able to hurt when broken.

Shatter me and destroy me,

If you must.

So careful where you tread.

Because you may soon bleed,

Just as I have.

Many times.
