Glass

Wed, 07/30/2014 - 19:27 -- JRoseB

I was once a rock

I did not know much about things

so it didn’t hurt me

I was strong, brave, and courageous

because I wasn’t afraid of the world

but now I am

All the hurtful words,

physical abuse,

and broken image

has made me who I am today,

glass

I am fragile because once you let me go

I will break

Once you hurt me

I will shatter and

I can never be the person who I once was

before

As you try to repair me,

fixing me up,

all you can see is the cracks

that can never be fixed up again
