Giving Thanks to God
My God is an awesome god.
Expansions of skies He’s created.
The stars--oh, the wonderful stars He’s created!
He doesn’t need a watch,
For time is an abstract concept to Him,
And His light never grows dim
Hundreds of tens of thousands of miles,
Millions and billions and trillions of things
And yet not a single person brings
His thanks to Him
What if we did that?
What if we left things flat
And told Him thanks?
Perhaps
He would take us to his laps
And with a smile say, “You are welcome.”
