Given the chance for change.

Were the universe in its grandness

displayed before me,

countless stars and planets

on a dark eternal sea.

I would be sure to see the foul humors

that seem to inhabit humanity,

and so were given the choice,

of changing one of our aspects.

To re-define the human condition,

am I sure that I not hesitate;

to bring about our end,

not through destruction,

but through change.

To re-define and shape

what it means to be man.

To play god,

yet not to play dice,

to reach my hand,

fingers outstretched,

across the world.

To grasp humanity,

such is the move,

that I would take

given the chance to create change.
