The Girl in The Rain

Location

There's a girl in this photo,

And a girl in the rain,

One seems so happy,

The other in pain...

The girl in the photo knows she must keep it together,

While the girl in the rain knows she'll never feel better,

In the photograph,

The sun shines through her eyes,

Out in the rain,

No one can see her cry...

All the make-up in the photo,

Streams down in the rain,

And with the grin in that picture,

You wouldn't know she's not so sane...

On Facebook she is social,

You can see it in her albums,

She can hide from actual faces,

All the pain that they can't fathom,

All the pain that she's experienced,

In these photos cannot hit her,

I'm the girl in the rain and the girl in the picture,

Minus, the make-up, the smile and the filter.
