Girl Moment

Location

I can't always pretend

That I've got everything together,

Showing no emotion like a man.

I can't always wear a brave face

When things plummet downhill.

I want to disappear without a trace.

Sometimes I just need to obsess.

Sometimes I need to cope

And go shopping for a dress.

Sometimes a girl just

Needs to be a girl.

I mean she came

In that form into the world.

Sometimes we need to have

A girl moment

To reflect, to cry, to laugh

To shout, to mend.

Sometimes I talk incessantly

Because there's just too many words

Needed to convey what I mean.

Sometimes I need to wear pink

Just to get in touch with my feminine side.

Sometimes I just need to stop to think

About what I'm going to have for dinner,

How to impress a boy I like

Or how to become a winner.

Sometimes a girl just

Needs to be a girl.

I mean she came

In that form into the world.

Sometimes we need to have

A girl moment

To reflect, to cry, to laugh

To shout, to mend.

I'm an independent woman.

Sometimes I'm a girl.

I make weird sounds

And when I'm happy, I twirl.

Don't condemn me.

It's in my biological program.

Maybe sometimes the girl way

Is the best way to solve a problem.

Sometimes a girl just

Needs to be a girl.

I mean she came

In that form into the world.

Sometimes we need to have

A girl moment

To reflect, to cry, to laugh

To shout, to mend.
