The Girl With the Guitar

Life is about expression,

Showing the world who you are.

Free from oppression,

Not afraid to reach for the stars.

Her expression is hollow,

But full at the same time full.

The melodies her fingers follow,

The words break out of their capsule.

Her guitar she strums,

The lyrics she writes.

Sweet melodies she hums,

Like a lullaby at night.

That's her expression,

herself within the music.

Lyrics leaving an impression,

Just the melodies and a guitar pick.

Her words of poetry,

They tell the story within.

That's who she is, that's the real me,

The girl with the guitar, that's what I've always been.
