Girl on Fire

Mon, 04/07/2014 - 02:10 -- Alysia

I don’t know how it started

But it started

It sparked in the midst of the storm

And grew regardless of the rain

At first the flames fueled me

Gave me strength

But it quickly became too much

It consumed me

And the fire was in my eyes

Dripping out the corners of my mouth

It followed the path of my arrows

Splattered around like blood

People saw the fire

And confused it for a light

They crawled towards it

Savior from the darkness

Everyone took a piece

And soon the world was in flames

Lit up by the girl on fire
