The Girl with the Bows in Her Hair

The girl with the bows in her hair,

Absolutely detests it when you stare,

She demands “Ama! She look at me!”,

Her cherub-faced pout an ill-mannered plea.

The girl with the bows in her hair,

Absolutely loves to say the phrase “share”,

Though she doesn’t seem to understand the word “please”,

Scrambling to procure the first yummy treat of mine she sees.

The girl with the bows in her hair,

Has a splendid amount of fashionable flair,

Always eager to try on her new shirt or dress,

The after-math of which often leaves her room a mess.

The girl with the bows in her hair,

Has a restless spirit that wanders without care,

Always on the lookout for some new adventure,

With the bold, brave personality to cause a grand stir.

The girl with the bows in her hair,

Happens to be a 5 year-old, very easy to scare,

She’ll eagerly chase after me with a face expressing glee,

When ‘round the bend I contort my face and voice so and watch her then flee.

The girl with the bows in her hair,

Happens to have the cutest little glare,

Her nose scrunching up, her chin jutting out,

Finger set to wagging and her mouth set to shout.

The girl with the bows in her hair,

Is a little girl that I know to be fair,

She looks up to me, as little sisters often do,

I love her, and I know she loves me too.
