Psalm 139:11-12

11 If I were to say, “Certainly the darkness will cover me,
and the light will turn to night all around me,”
12 even the darkness is not too dark for You to see,
and the night is as bright as day;
darkness and light are the same to You.

Generic

Is all I know generic?

Do all just seem the same?

Than I don't have to declare it

for that would be just a game.

If all the same we inherit

and similarity sets us apart,

than all we need to secure it,

is to be bound together by heart

It is strange to feel so different

from another … who is just the same

and why do I want to be indifferent,

is my nature for that to blame?

Then Jesus came and changed me

I'm so different from who I was

But I'm still like others before me

and like others in Christ's special class.

And still I am the same as all others.

Partly sane and bound … and partly free.

For powers of darkness try to smother

the power of Christ deep within me.
