Frostbite

A Light dusting of snow

I know the snow can be frightening

I see your eyes as the snow turns to ice

I see the the frostbite crawl up your walls

crawl up my hand

I don't care

If this storm tears me apart

I would throw if jacket in the fire

if it meant your walls were kept warm

These winds are tearing me out the door

And I know I will have to learn to love the cold

Love the way it never echoes my screams

Love the way it Paralyzes me from head to toe

But I want you to know

That when I'm treading through this frozen hell

The thought of coming back to your fire

Will be my home
