frost (1/29/20)

snow caps treetops

 

like the cap that snug on your head,

 

hugging your scalp

 

the way i wish i could hug you.

 

the icy flakes outside dot my face

 

and send chills down my spine.

 

no fireplace could compare to 

 

the warmth of your fingertips.
