Freedom Means More

Location

If I could change anything

I would change a dad’s mind

I would make him still love

By choice; not just to be kind

If I could change anything

I would change those who stare

I’d show there’s no difference

I would make them aware

If I could change anything

I would change the law

So that people are equal

And marriage is for all

If I could change anything

I would tear down the walls

And show all that their love

Is no different from y’alls

If I could change anything

I’d change what some believe

They can’t control what they feel

It’s not hard to conceive

See love has no limits

Knows no color, nor age

Nor does it know gender

Despite all the rage

It’s not worth the fear

The pain or the hurt

That’s felt by the people

You try to “convert”

So open your heart

And your mind and your door

Tradition means much

But freedom means more
