Freed by Morning

Reality fading, imagination laid waitingEach moment seeming just as unreal as the last: Out of the window brought a pleasant view,As the sun sets warm hues fill the air.Bringing upon an ample end to a long dayJust when I thought satisfaction was possible,Angry, ceaseless screams came from belowMy parentsThere I sat by the fireLetting its warmth consume meI stare at the bowl of apples across the room.Red, red, redSparks fly around meThe resentful noise continuesLouder it growsJust as the boiling fire in front of meEverything spinsThe whole world around me fallsBlack, black, blackAll I see as I fall out of unconsciousness and back into reality.
