I just wanted to be your dream.
Perfect in every way.
A melting pot of all your movie heroines.

And I wanted to be free.

After all, the best things in life are.
And the best is all I wanted to be.

How was I to know
You wanted something new?
Something imperfect, something to make you see
Not all the best things are free?

Thus, having not earned me,
You scorned me.
And forlornly walked away.
Leading me to really believe

That nothing's truly free.

For, from you, I am now free.
And the price I paid still grieves me.
