Fractured Aftermath

Just as a plague sweeps through and does decay,

So too may love take victims in its path.

It crawls inside the minds it finds to fray,

And leaves behind its fractured aftermath.

The death of love, the end of fantasy:

With hope and future lost for those who dare.

The entrance starts into reality:

A sober view, the world is now laid bare.

But most of all, the future stretches out,

Long gone the plans and tinted rose vision.

Invisible, internally it shouts,

Unable to accept this decision.

Just as it gives with it such free delight,

Again one’s forced in to eternal night.
