Found, yet still a little lost

The great feeling of inspiration

Comes once every blue moon

At least that’s how rare it is for me

To experience that elation

Many days and nights have been spent

Lurking in my room, waiting for it to come

I shall share my secret tonight

Of how I get inspired

I lay in bed late at night listening to my music

Headphones hooked in and beats booming feeling the music enter my soul

The words flow through my ears

With my heart beat matching the drums

Feeling a connection as I realize I am not alone

My thoughts, my fears, my dreams!

Finally expressed in words

Before I forget this feeling, I start strumming some guitar chords

I quickly jot down my thoughts, mere lyrics that may be used in a future song

I hurry and hurry anxiety impending

Before that lost melody is gone
