The Forlorn Heart

Deeply wandering…staring at nowhere, as far as it can reach
Thinking of anything, imagining something my heart beseech;
Past had molded me, present is reassuring, yet future’s uncertain,
How long will I be at puzzled state, heart and mind is at constant debate.

Joyful moments there are, yet agony may come whenever it wants
My beliefs had affirmation, yet emotions are twisting, deceiving;
How I wish to be in others’ shoes, to evade from this unending woes
Yet wishful thinking won’t help, letting me beg for His listening ears.

How really good it is, as a focused mind, as an undivided attention
To pursue your goals and desires without mind-boggling distractions;
In shallow – they view me differently, cause deeply lies pretty messy
Still holding on a grip to what is right, even grappling with this uneasy fight.

Be strong and steady, situations vary and you may find another helpful way
You have brilliant things and ideas still to make, not to be hindered by these, I say;
Escaping to an imaginary calming thoughts, soothing myself through solitude
Positivity there is, yet as years still running, sometime I return to this wandering feeling.
